Citius Composites

2021, 2023 Provo, UT

Citius Composites is a company in southern Idaho that does carbon composite molds and other projects for customers. Due to the small nature of their company, I had the opportunity to consult them, helping them to optimize with their system and process design.

As a result, a team of 3 other students and I provided a 43 page report on ways to improve the payroll, backup, and file organization systems they use, including many large CAD engineering files they were using but were not stored reliably and were susceptible to being lost.

We also created a class diagram to fully illustrate the full workings of the business and brainstorm how we could better improve operations within among employees.

Later on 2023, we were brought on again to look at some of the financial numbers for the business, build some financial forecasts and models and then give recommendations for how to imrpove inventory management and change the scheduling for ordering new parts.

Accomplishments from this project include:

  • Advised the business owner on new payroll, backup, and file organization systems decreasing project completion duration by 25%
  • Created financial forecasts and models for ordering inventory and influencing
